SCHOOL RULES AND REGULATIONS
To be a leading and most preferred school in provision of quality and holistic education in the region.
To provide a conducive teaching and learning environment supported by vibrant and creative resource utilization in nurturing learners into productive beings in the society.
SCHOOL RULES AND REGULATIONS
The school rules are devises meant to mould students into disciplined, responsible, responsive and honest citizens. It also facilitates a harmonious and peaceful living in the school. At the end of the four years, students are expected to come out as admirable role models, patriotic and inspiring leaders.
- 1. PUNCTUALITY
All students shall be punctual at all places as required by the routine. They are expected to respond to the bell promptly by running. Slow students should be made community work. All students reporting from home must arrive before 5.00pm. Those who report later than 5.00pm will be sent back home. On arrival the students’ luggage shall be subjected to security check and any illegal items confiscated.
- 2. CONDUCT
a) Common sense should prevail at all time.
b) Sneaking out of school is a serious offence and will lead to automatic self-suspension with a fine of one roll of barbed wire/chain link.
c) Students are expected to show respect towards one another, the teaching and non-teaching staff, members of the public and visitors to the school. Use of abusive language will lead to punishment.
d) Physical fights will automatically lead to suspension. Verbal fights may result in the same punishment. If offended refer to school authority for arbitration.
e) Boy/girl relationship is not allowed in school and when found will lead to suspension.
f) Noise making anywhere is punishable by doing manual work.
g) Any immoral behavior such as lesbianism, homosexuality, cultism, pornography, drug abuse, peddling of drugs, alcoholism and smoking is prohibited and if found may lead to exclusion.
h) Every student should take care of school property assigned to him/her. For any damage caused, the student will be required to make double replacement of the item itself. Cash is not allowed.
i) All students are prohibited from bringing into school electrical gadgets such as mobile phones and their accessories, radio, compact discs, cassettes etc. and non-academic belongings such as photo albums etc. A student found in possession of the said gadgets will suffer suspension.
j) Theft is a disgrace and shall lead to five times replacement of the stolen item.
- 3. CLASS WORK
a) All students must strive for academic excellence and integrity.
b) A student found cheating in any examination will suffer nullification of results and the said student will be sent home for his/her parent/guardian.
- 4. PLACES OUT OF BOUND
The following places are out of bounds for all students:
a) Staff houses.
b) Staffroom in the absence of teachers.
d) Outside the enclosure unless with permission.
e) Along the school fence.
f) The kitchen.
NOTE: Dormitories are out of bound to any visitor.
- 5. MEALS
a) The school provides standard diet for all students. No special shall be provided to any student.
b) All meals are compulsory and taken in the school dining hall.
c) Any kind of cooked foods e.g. mandazi, chapatti, fried omena, meat etc. is not allowed in school.
- 6. UNIFORM AND DRESSING
a) The uniform and dressing shall be defined as a pair of black long trouser tailor made and not baggy/six piece black skirt with hem reaching below the knee, a pair of short sleeved white shirt with a badge/a pair of short sleeved white blouse with a badge, a pair of grey socks with white and blue strips/a pair of white socks, black leather shoes with laces/black leather shoes-Low heeled, sleeveless navy blue pullover-V-Neck with school logo, navy blue tie with school logo. All students are expected to be in neat uniform. No modification of uniform is expected.
b) Students may adorn the prescribed school weekend wear over the weekend. The girls are expected to in navy blue weekend dress.
c) All students are expected to have Bata sandals for bathing-blue sandals for boys and red sandals for girls. Any other kind of sandals shall not be allowed in the school.
d) No ornaments i.e. bracelets, fingerings, earrings etc. shall be worn in school.
e) No cosmetics i.e. bleaching of face, painting nails, eye pencil etc.
This is not allowed. Any student found guilty of this offence will be given measured work and other forms of punishment as guided by the Basic education Act.
- 7. PERMISSION FOR ABSENCE
All students are expected to stay within the school compound except with special permission from the Deputy Principal or Principal. The parents will be contacted before they leave the school.
- 8. COMMUNITY WORK
This is compulsory for all students. It is the responsibility of all students to keep the school compound and rooms clean at all times. Students shall also participate in community service outside the school from time to time.
- 9. PRAYERS
Being an S.D.A sponsored school and founded on a firm Christian background, the school expects all joining the institution to uphold the dignity of prayers. Church attendance is compulsory to all students on Saturdays.
- 10. COMMUNICATION
a) All students are expected at all times to be polite, courteous in language and action.
b) All students must communicate in ENGLISH and KISWAHILI at specific days as per the school language policy. Vernacular and ‘sheng’ speaking is illegal and punishable by buying specific set books for their personal reading.
c) Any sickness/emergency should be reported the boarding master or teacher on duty in good time for appropriate action.
d) Students shall only make calls using the school line indicated or the Deputy Principal’s or their respective class teachers.
- 11. GAMES AND ACTIVITIES
a) Games are compulsory for all students. During games all students are expected to be in their games kits.
b) All students will be expected to enroll in at least one club/society registered by the school.
- 12. VISITATION
a) All visitors must sign at the gate and be given gate pass.
b) Visiting of students shall be done by recognized parents/guardians only on the first Sunday of each month in first and second term only between 10:00a.m to 4:00p.m.

- 13. DECLARATION
